Learning Through Purposeful Play
The Child Development Center
The Child Development Center at First Baptist Church opened in 1969 with the purpose of providing a high-quality preschool education for all children no matter their religious beliefs, ethnic background. gender or sexual identity, or socio-economic status. The Child Development Center uses a Project Construct Curriculum that promotes learning through active play, planned developmental activities, and child-initiated discoveries.
The CDC prides itself on integrating the arts into each classroom through weekly music classes, special music events, and cross-curricular lessons. Despite its location, the Child Development Center does not promote a religion-based child care program. The program is licensed and accredited as CDC believes in offering a high quality program.
The CDC will be your child’s second home! We offer many free family events, familial support, and the quality early-care and education your child needs to thrive.
